Individual and Group Dynamics

Group Dynamics

Participants will learn to differentiate small and large group dynamics and dissect the role of group leader, focusing on issues such as boundaries, group pride, cohesiveness, conflict, group recognition and intergroup alliances.

Human Resource Management: People and Productivity

A leader’s reputation and future can be made or broken based on how routine and extraordinary human resource issues are managed. Participants will discuss myriad employee concerns, such as internal communication, bias, sexual harassment, obvious and subtle intimidation and workplace violence.

Managing Diversity

Avoiding sweeping generalities, political rhetoric and traditional hype, and breaking down diversity issues into their finest components allow leaders to identify and achieve viable solutions. Participants will delve into behaviors, such as stereotyping, prejudice and fear-mongering that can block organizational and individual progress, change and effectiveness. Practical strategies, including organizational action plans, task forces, regional and national recruiting and diversity education programs will be assessed.

Motivating Employees

Commitment and motivation are tied to mission success and employee passion for the work, while a sense of purpose is linked to the well-being of the team and organization. Participants will focus on motivation techniques and address the needs of low and high performers.
